Never does a star grace this land
With a poet’s light of twinkling misteries
Not does the sun send to here
It’s race of warmth and life
This is the Underdark. The secret world
Beneath the bustling surface of Forgotten Realms
Whose sky is a ceiling of heartless stone
Whose walls show the gray blandness of death
This not their world, not the world of light
Most who come here uninvited do not return

If you long to look in the abyss
The Abyss also looks into you

Once upon a starless night
Neither moon, no wandering lights
Silence crept in shadow’s guise
with sinister glowing crimson eyes
“It cannot be!” - I insist
Dark elves creeping? - “They don't exist!”
High I held my Gem of Seeing
Eyes now wide, no disbelieving

With flesh the complexion of inky black
And all the affection of a ravenous pack
Billowing, flowing, milky hair
It’s visage, a frowning menacing stare

“How thy scowl, thou foul drow!”
To my dismay, ‘twas I that cowed
As I reached for father’s ancient hammer
Alas, from behind another plunged its dagger

So I smashed upon the floor I bled
Magic gem flashed, all shadows fled
With malice they wander shades of night
From burst of light they've taken flight

Dzirt Do'Urden Darkness Son
He is living under earth
He digs a grave for you of course

Underworld!!! Sold out I told!!!
